Miscellaneous Antiques

In our miscellaneous section, we showcase many different antique pieces and collectables, these can include antique coffers & mule boxes, which are usually constructed from oak, and, from the Georgian period. All our antique coffers vary, some featuring candle boxes and very old examples carrying the original hook & eye hinges. We generally carry a varied range of antiques mirrors, including dressing mirrors, toilet mirrors, French gilt mirrors and cheval mirrors, these are usually constructed from mahogany, walnut and oak. Our brass antique dinner gongs always vary in size and usually hang from turned barley twist, or plain supports. Made from varying timbers such as oak, walnut and mahogany our gongs always feature interesting carvings and include hammers. We have been very fortunate recently to source a selection of lovely period antique fire screens. All of our fire screens have featured unique tapestry needlework, some of which having adjustable panels. Jewellery boxes and tea caddies have recently been a welcomed new addition for Sutton Antieks, due to a very recent demand. Lately, we have acquired antique jewellery boxes and caddies mainly made from walnut, mahogany and rosewood frequently carrying inlay with mother of pearl and cross banding, all pieces featuring detailed interiors and sections.
